This is a biography of a Lithuanian-French painter and graphic artist Pranas Gailius released by Kaunas district municipality museum. Released just a year after the famous painters’ passing, this book tells a story about a man who lived a double life as an immigrant in Paris. The compiler of the book Zigmas Kalesinskas took the legacy of the artist very seriously and made sure that the author was represented accurately and the book turned out stunning through carefully crafted design. Two accent colours were used — bright blue and bright red as reference to the colours of a French flag. First half of the book is in Lithuanian and other half is written in French. This is complemented by red string used for binding. Open spine binding was used along with a cardboard cover creating a unique and unexpected look.
